La Savina
The port of La Savina, at the western end of the island, is a connecting point for residents and visitors. Here boats from Eivissa dock and it is the starting point for exploring Formentera. The port, created in the 19th century, has become an important centre for tourism and supplies to the island. In summer, the port is bustling with activity, with shipping companies keeping the island connected throughout the day.
The renovated maritime station offers booking and refreshment services, along with a marina where boats can be hired. In addition, there are a variety of establishments offering car hire, bars, restaurants and a charming hippy market in the evenings. The remains of the old sea wall and the cycle route to the Natural Park add to the charm of this harbour, which also offers stunning sunsets on its western side.
